  • Permanent position, Monday to Friday with Full Time and Part Time hours available 
  • Join a Collaborative Team Providing Complex Cancer Care
  • Be an integral part of a specialist care team supporting patients with complex haematological conditions 

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Victoria's leading public health services, renowned for excellence, innovation and compassionate care. We are currently seeking a professional and customer-focused Ward Clerk to join our Ward 7B Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant team.

This is a vital front-line role and often the first point of contact for patients, families and visitors to the ward. You will provide essential administrative and reception support, coordinating patient admissions, transfers, discharges and appointments, maintaining accurate medical records and supporting the multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, person-centred care for patients with Acute Leukaemia, Classical Haematology and Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplants.

About you

  • Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills with a professional telephone manner
  • Relevant clerical and administrative experience with strong computer and keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and a sound understanding of hospital policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a busy multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong initiative, ability to prioritise and flexibility under pressure
