Job Description: 

Speech Pathologist – Casual Grade 2 – Acute

  • An exciting opportunity for a speech pathologist to join our casual team in this fantastic acute role

Your new team

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Speech Pathology team in a casual capacity. The casual service at RMH provides weekend acute cover in specialist areas like medicine, trauma and ICU, as well as general cover across acute services at City Campus.  

Your Opportunity to join the RMH Speech Pathology

Join our dynamic multidisciplinary team as a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist, responsible for assessing and managing an acute caseload.

About You

  • At least 4 years’ experience working in the acute setting;
  • Willingness to participate in a 7-day model of care;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and in co-operation with others;
  • Clinical skills in comprehensive assessment, management and discharge planning;
  • Professional behaviour and conduct which reflects self-initiative, confidentiality, self-evaluation and commitment to professional development;
  • Good working knowledge of community support services;

Desirable

  • Tracheostomy Competency desirable;
