Snow Centre Rheumatology Fellow
Fractional / Fixed Term up to 21hours per fortnight for 2-years

Department Description:
The Rheumatology Department at Melbourne Health is a major rheumatology service, acting as a tertiary referral centre for North-Western Melbourne and rural Victoria. The Department deals with the care of complex patients with multi-organ inflammatory and autoimmune disease, as well as more common musculoskeletal diseases. The Department provides outpatient and inpatient care as well as an inpatient consult service at RMH and precinct partners. The Department has active teaching, training and clinical research programs.
About the role:
- The Snow Centre for Immune Health has a global mission to improve the lives of people with immune diseases, using a paradigm-changing approach to research in immune health. The centre, co-led by WEHI and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, brings together clinicians and scientists to rapidly advance research into immune diseases. The Centre goal is to accelerate discoveries into the underlying features and markers of immune health, to identify disease causes and immune regulatory pathways and to inform and discover best treatments.
- The Snow Centre for Immune Health, through the Royal Melbourne Hospital, is seeking a junior Consultant Rheumatologist with a research interest to work with the Snow Centre Rheumatology Clinical Leads and other Snow Centre staff to guide and implement the research agenda of the Snow Centre in the area of Autoimmunity.
- This Snow Rheumatology Fellow is a key member of the Snow Centre team who will assist in progressing the Snow Centre clinical research program in rheumatology focusing initially on the autoimmune conditions of rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren’s, systemic lupus erythematosus and ANCA associated vasculitis. This person will work with clinical and scientific teams to achieve Centre milestones.

About You:
Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (for international Medical Graduates)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- FRACP in Rheumatology
- Research experience is desirable but not essential
