Emergency Services Clerk
Royal Melbourne Hospital

Looking for an administration clerk preferably with previous experience in an Emergency Department or healthcare setting. Permanent casual shift work position. This includes afternoon, night, weekend shifts and public holidays. Based in North Melbourne.

 

Your new team:

The Emergency Services team delivers high level acute care in a multi-disciplinary setting.  It incorporates services for critical care, major trauma, mental health, toxicology and emergency ambulatory care. 

 

The role of the Emergency Services Clerk is to deliver a professional and customer focused service, often as the first point of contact for patients, their families, and visitors. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all patient related information for clinical and billing purposes is captured onto the information systems.  Data entry should be timely, accurate and complete in accordance with the data entry requirements of the Royal Melbourne Hospital and precinct partners.

 

About you:

  • Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone manner
  • Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills
  • Computer and data entry skills
  • Valid Working With Children's Check (WWCC)
