Theatre Technician 
The Royal Melbourne Hospital 

  • Full time/Part time/Casual hours available
  • 10 hour shifts

The 3 West Day Procedure Unit within The Royal Melbourne Hospital provides complex care through many specialties including interventional and diagnostic endoscopy, surgical procedures (plastics, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, orthopaedics, and general surgery), anaesthetic and recovery.

We are seeking a Theatre technician to support our team.

Your new role:

  • Fun, interesting, dynamic and supportive team environment
  • Work across three procedure rooms: elective and emergency Endoscopy and Day surgery including Ophthalmology, General, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Urology surgery
  • Transportation services; patients, equipment, blood, specimens, records, supplies
  • Provide patient assistance to clinical and theatre staff

About you:

  • Dedicated and motivated to provide excellent customer service and patient safety
  • Work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary health care team
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Have a commitment to delivery of excellence in patient experience
  • Certificate III in Operating Theatre Support, or working towards
  • Previous experience highly desirable
