Technical Project Manager – Pathology Network West (PNW)

About the Program

Pathology Network West (PNW) is a landmark transformation program uniting the pathology services of four leading Victorian health services: The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

As part of this transformational program a new Laboratory Information Solution (LIS) is being implemented. The new LIS is a key enabler of the service transformation and will provide major benefits to patients, providers, and staff of the new network.

About the Role

As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering technical workstreams that support this program. You’ll:

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and project teams
• Drive the planning, coordination, and delivery of technical tasks and milestones
• Maintain documentation and governance across scope, schedule, and deliverables
• Monitor risks, issues, and budgets, ensuring project quality and timely delivery
• Provide clear, actionable communication to both technical and non-technical audiences

About You

• Proven experience managing complex ICT projects (health sector preferred)
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Highly organised, adaptable, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Experience with Healthcare application implementation projects (especially LIS or EMR), laboratory processes and workflows highly desirable.
