Structural Heart Clinical Nurse Consultant

  • Part Time, ongoing position working 24 hours per fortnight
  • Support our expanding Cardiac Structural Program

About the Royal Melbourne Hospital:

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.

Specialty Cardiology services include Adult Congenital Heart Disease, complex cardiac electrophysiology, structural cardiac intervention, cardiac genetics and cardiac implanted electronic device management including lead extraction.

We are looking for an experienced Cardiac Nurse with recent acute experience to assist the team in co-ordinating our structural patients to ensure they have a seamless journey throughout their hospital stay.

 

About you:

Formal Qualifications:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Post graduate certificate/Advanced Critical Care/Coronary Care
  • You have recent acute cardiac nursing of at least 5 years
  • Cath Lab experience is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence around a patient centred care approach
