The Office for Research (OfR) at the Royal Melbourne Hospital are progressive thought leaders in our sector. The OfR oversees clinical research across Royal Melbourne Hospital in close collaboration with Parkville Precinct Partners. The Office provides leadership, advice and infrastructure to fully embed clinical research into RMH clinical care within the State and Federal regulatory framework.

The Sponsor Office Manager/SCRA role will:

  • Directly support research leadership and the Clinical Trials Business Unit for Melbourne Health sponsored studies;
  • Lead and grow the Sponsor Office;
  • Work in close collaboration with all functional areas and RMH supporting departments to deliver compliance and support to the clinical trials/research portfolio of RMH;
  • Ensure legal and regulatory requirements of MH as sponsor are met;
  • Oversight and TMF maintenance of MH sponsored studies;
  • Will work in close collaboration with Functional Area Managers to deliver strategic and operational outcomes;
  • Will promote reputational strength within a strong customer service culture at one of Australia’s leading public health service providers.

This role is for you because:

  • You have industry experience in clinical operations and want to develop your SME skills in this area;
  • You are an experienced Project Manager/Senior CRA pursuing your next career step;
  • The role is mostly onsite. Some interstate travel may be required (2 to 3 days per quarter);
  • You want to apply your subject matter expertise in commercial clinical trials to drive business while enabling the investigator-led sector;
  • You understand and can work with the demands of our sector meeting various stakeholder needs;
  • You have a good working knowledge of the regulatory and GCP requirements of the clinical research sector;
  • You are a team-minded individual with a strong attention to detail;
  • You thrive in an environment where you enable and uplift those around you and our shared goals.
