First Year Specialist Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon
10hours per month with Rostered (Exclusive) On-Call for 6 months
The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
Unit Description:
Large and busy Orthopaedic Unit managing high volume of Orthopaedic Trauma Cases. Surgeons of varying expertise and experience managing patients collectively and collaboratively within the Orthopaedic Unit as well as across other Surgical Specialties
About the role:
- You will provide On-Call services and follow up Trauma Theatre Cover according to the Roster, Regular Outpatient Clinic and attendance at Weekly Orthopaedic Unit Audit as Required

About You:
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Fellowship Qualification and Membership
- Recent Graduate of the Australian Orthopaedics Association
