Specialist Endocrine Surgeon
10.5hours per fortnight Fractional/Fixed Term ((Long Service Leave cover from 06 July 2026 – 30 May 2027)
Covering a list and clinic every fortnight
The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
Unit Description:
The Breast and Endocrine Unit is a large unit within the Department of General Surgery. The Endocrine component involves a multidisciplinary clinic with Endocrinology and a large MDT for endocrine cases.
About the role:
A senior surgeon is taking part-time long service leave with an approved plan to work one week on and one week off from 06/07/2026. The duties on the alternative week encompass a theatre list, an outpatient clinic with extra hours to allow for ward rounds, MDT and audit.

About You:
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (for international Medical Graduates)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- Fellowship
