About the Department of Emergency Medicine
The Department of Emergency Medicine at RMH provides excellence in the delivery of evidence-based, patient-centred care for adult patients. As one of Australia’s busiest and most complex Emergency Departments, we manage a high volume of trauma and acute medical presentations, with strong links to specialty teams across the hospital and precinct.

About the Role
We are seeking Emergency Medicine Specialists to join our dedicated and high-performing team.
This role involves working and contributing across all clinical areas of the Emergency Department, including:
- Trauma and Resuscitation and Acute Care Cubicles
- Fast Track
- Observation Medicine Unit, including the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) OD Hub
- Clinical Supervision
- Teaching and Mentorship of nursing staff, nurse practitioners, advanced (primary) musculoskeletal physiotherapists, medical students, junior medical officers, emergency department registrars, and ACEM trainees
- Clinical Support Time which includes non–patient-facing duties that support clinical care, education, quality improvement, and research activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of world-class emergency care, provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team, and support the next generation of emergency clinicians through teaching and mentorship.

About You
Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated expertise in trauma, resuscitation, toxicology, neurosciences, and acute care.
- Proven ability to lead and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a high-pressure environment.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-focused emergency care and continuous improvement.
- A passion for teaching, supervision, and clinical excellence.
