Job Description: 

Social Worker

The Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Full Time, Ongoing position
  • Based at the John Cade Inpatient Unit at the Royal Melbourne Hospital 
  • Make a meaningful impact on our patients and their families

 

Your New Role.

  • Apply your mental health expertise to support social work service delivery and workflow across the unit

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate systems to ensure high-quality service delivery

  • Ensure policies and procedures are effectively implemented and supported across the multidisciplinary team

  • Work as part of a supportive, skilled, and collaborative team dedicated to providing person-centred mental health care

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to the social work workforce

 

About You:

  • A qualified Social Worker with eligibility for membership with the AASW

  • Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience delivering treatment, care, and support to individuals and their families in the mental health sector

  • Resilient and adaptable, able to manage uncertainty and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of people experiencing mental ill-health and their families
