Grade 2 Social Worker

This position will provide the successful applicant opportunities to provide a crucial Social Work service in a well-supported multi-disciplinary team environment. This role involves the provision of Social Work service, supervision and education of student and junior Social Workers and will be a member of our supportive team. The Social Work team consists of over 40 staff members who work across the City and Royal Park Campuses in acute, sub-acute and community based services across a range of specialties.
Your new role:

- Deliver high-quality, client-centred care through strong clinical skills, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork, including comprehensive psychosocial assessment and targeted intervention planning.
- Provide specialised social work services such as risk assessment, discharge planning, care coordination, advocacy, counselling, and family/group work.
- Contribute to service delivery across different clinical areas, supporting quality improvement, teaching, research, and policy or program development.
- Support workforce development by supervising junior staff, students, and allied health assistants, and contributing to department and profession growth (including cross-campus and weekend services).
- You will be supported by the Social Work manager, clinical lead (grade 4) & senior clinician (grade 3)
About you:
- Qualified and experienced Social Worker (either current member or current eligibility for AASW) with demonstrated clinical skills
- An adaptable quick learner with proven ability to work autonomously
- Effectively deliver excellent consumer focussed clinical care to patients and their carers
- Experience and skills to mentor and supervise junior staff
