- Based at the John Cade Inpatient Unit at the Royal Melbourne Hospital
- Work collaboratively with the Multidisciplinary Team
About RMH at the team:
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services provides person-centred, recovery-oriented care, treatment, and support through our multi-disciplinary workforce of skilled and dynamic clinicians and Lived and Living experience (LLE) consumer and carer experts.
The Senior Social Work will undertake a leadership role and work alongside the social work team in the delivery of social work interventions across the inpatient unit (IPU). This role will include consultation, guidance and support to the social work team with a focus on addressing complex needs of consumers, and their families, carers and supporters.
Your New Role.
- Lead and coordinate the social work response and workflow across the unit
- Establish, evaluate and maintain systems for monitoring high level service delivery
- Ensure that relevant policies and procedures are being implemented and support across the multidisciplinary team
- Provide mentorship and supervision to the social work workforce
About You:
- You are a qualified Social Worker with eligibility for membership with the AASW
- You have 7 years post qualification and experience in the service delivery of treatment, care and support with individuals and their families in the mental health sector
- Ability to tolerate uncertainty in a fast paced environment and can work in a flexible and dynamic manner
