Senior Workplace Relations Specialist

  • Full-Time, 12-month Fixed Term opportunity - Potential to become ongoing
  • Based in our newly built office in Melbourne CBD

About the Role

As a trusted advisor, you will partner with leaders across the organisation to navigate complex workplace issues, support enterprise agreement implementation, lead workplace investigations and drive best-practice employment outcomes. You'll work closely with senior leaders, unions and key stakeholders, helping to build capability, minimise risk and create positive workplace experiences for our people.

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on solving complex challenges and wants to make a meaningful contribution within a large, dynamic and values-driven healthcare organisation.

Key Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the implementation and interpretation of Enterprise Agreements, ensuring compliance and operational success.
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations, industrial instruments, performance, conduct and employment matters.
  • Manage complex workplace investigations and support leaders to achieve fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.
  • Represent RMH in Fair Work Commission and other employment-related proceedings.
  • Design and deliver training and capability programs to strengthen leadership confidence in people management practices.
  • Partner with stakeholders on organisational change, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Employment Law or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience managing complex employee and industrial relations matters within a large organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial legislation, enterprise agreements and contemporary employment practices.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and providing strategic ER advice.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Desirable

  • Experience representing organisations before the Fair Work Commission or other industrial tribunals.
  • Experience supporting enterprise bargaining and agreement implementation.
  • Previous experience within health, government or other highly regulated environments.
