Senior Quality and Improvement Specialist

About RMH and the team:

The RMH Quality and Improvement (QI) team are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Quality and Improvement Specialist with a passion for Safe, Timely, Effective and Person-centred care to join our collaborative and supportive team. 

In this role, you will work closely with clinical services and colleagues across the organisation to deliver a contemporary Whole System Quality framework. Responsibilities include supporting effective, best practice adverse event management; driving continuous improvement and innovation; and developing strategies to ensure ongoing readiness for National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards assessment and other accreditation activities. 

 

Your new role: 

In this role you will,

  • Collaborate with clinical service area partners to design and deliver best practice quality planning, quality assurance and quality improvement
  • Ensure robust systems and processes are in place for patient safety and clinical risk
  • Support clinical governance, strategy and communication across the organisation
  • Coach and build capability in contemporary quality improvement methods and tools
  • Foster effective collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 

What will you bring:

Essential

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a complex organisational structure
  • Knowledge and skills in data for improvement plans and change management
  • You enjoy engaging and working collaboratively with consumers, families and carers, and staff in quality improvement activities
  • Experience in engaging consumers, families, carers & communities.

Desirable

  • Proficient in use of an electronic medical record

• Experience using VHIMS RiskMan
