  • Based in Waratah Clinic, Moonee Ponds
  • A senior position for an experienced mental health OT Grade 3
  • Full time ongoing position
  • Exciting role with range of general community mental health, OT specific direct intervention and service development components

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Mental Health Services has an exciting opportunity for developing clinician to deliver excellent interventions and provide community based mental health service. We are seeking dynamic, team-oriented clinicians. RMH MHS has a strong team culture and values the development of its workforce. Based in Moonee Ponds, this role is an opportunity to develop skills and experience and contribute to the growth of mental health services in the community.

 

Your new role:

  • Develop evidence-based recovery plans with consumers and families
  • Manage a balanced caseload that enables therapeutic engagement
  • Deliver high-quality assessments, treatment, and ongoing support
  • Provide leadership to uphold strong clinical standards and positive culture
  • Contribute actively to discipline-specific and multidisciplinary activities
  • Enhance evidence-based practice for people with severe and enduring mental illness

 

About you:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist
  • 5+ years experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability
  • Motivation to provide leadership and drive clinical standards
  • Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence supporting people with co-occurring drug and alcohol issues
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and willingness to work flexibly
