About the Role
The Senior Ethics and Governance Officer plays a key role in the governance and oversight of the Snow Centre for Immune Health's clinical research portfolio. Co-led by RMH and WEHI, the Centre brings together leading Australian and international researchers to transform how immune system disorders are assessed and treated.
You will lead research ethics and governance activities across the study lifecycle, providing expert advice to investigators and research teams and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice, ethical and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Lead HREC, governance and regulatory submissions, including amendments, reporting and study close-out.
- Provide expert research governance, ethics and GCP advice to investigators and research teams.
- Support the preparation and review of clinical research and regulatory documentation.
- Build strong relationships with RMH, WEHI, clinicians, researchers, sponsors and partners.
- Drive continuous improvement of research governance processes, systems and resources.
About You
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in health, biomedical science, clinical research or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical research ethics and governance, ideally within a hospital, university or research institution.
- Strong knowledge of Australian research ethics, governance and regulatory requirements, including GCP.
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in clinical research or related field.
- Experience with research governance systems, including ERM.
- GCP certification and/or experience supporting multi-site or sponsored clinical research.
