Senior Eating Disorders Lived Experience Advisor - Carer Perspective

  • Part Time, ongoing position working 40 hours per fortnight!

About The Royal Melbourne Mental Health Services RMH MHS:

The Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED) is a state-wide program within Victoria’s public mental health service system, operating under the auspice of the Royal Melbourne Hospital – Mental Health Service. CEED’s role is to support the development of a comprehensive stepped system of care for people experiencing eating disorders, their families, supports, and communities—covering all service levels and aspects of care  

 

As the CEED Eating Disorders Senior Lived Experience Advisor – Carer Perspective, you will:

  • Provide carer lived experience input to CEED consultations, clinical teams, and AMHS clinicians.

  • Support development of training for the public mental health workforce.

  • Maintain knowledge of carer needs and build relationships with key organisations.

  • Participate in policy and planning committees at regional and state levels.

  • Help define mental health service roles relating to carers of people with eating disorders.

About you:

  • Lived experience caring for someone with an eating disorder.

  • Experience using carer perspective in peer support or education.

  • Passionate about carer inclusion with knowledge of Victorian mental health system challenges.

  • Strong communicator able to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Committed to ongoing learning and development.
