The Royal Melbourne Hospital are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Microbiology team. This is a 1 year temporary Grade 1 or 2 Full-time Scientist position working in the Microbiology Department.

About the role:
- Work in all areas of the microbiology department including bacteriology, serology and molecular biology
- Participate in the implementation and development of new tests and methods as directed
- Participate in laboratory presentations within the Microbiology Department
- Work with relevant pathology staff to deliver services in a timely manner.
About You:
- Experience in a clinical diagnostic Microbiology laboratory
- Experience in Molecular Microbiology - Desirable
- Recognised scientific training and competence relevant to the position including appropriate knowledge and experience in quality systems
- Experience in analytical methods and techniques of diagnostic microbiology
- Professional approach to patient care, confidentiality and efficient provision of pathology services
