  • Fixed-Term, Full Time (1 EFT) 12-Months
  • Grade 4 (HS4) + 12% Super 
  • ADO’s & WFH flexibility

 

We're seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Revenue Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle and maximising private patient revenue.

 

Your new department

RMH Revenue Services provides a range of services for the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and its patients. The role of Revenue Services is to maximise the identification, capture and collection of revenue in a timely, accurate and transparent manner across Melbourne Health.


Your new role

Reporting to the Operations Manager - Revenue Services, the Revenue Analyst is a specialist role supporting the optimisation of revenue streams at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH). Your day to day will include:

  • Analyse patient billing and revenue data across various funding streams
  • Recommend areas for revenue development or process improvements to maximise revenue and ensure compliance
  • Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to improve billing accuracy, timeliness, and recovery of funds
  • Monitor compliance with Department of Health (Victoria) funding guidelines and hospital policies
  • Contribute to revenue recovery initiatives through targeted audits and improvement strategies
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and contribute to automation developments

  • Analytical, problem-solver with an ability to interpret complex data sets and generate meaningful insights and recommendations
  • A team player, who is willing to continuously improve and challenge the current state
  • Strong understanding of Australian health funding models
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including a proven capacity to build and maintain effective and productive relationships 
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office products or similar
