About the role

RMH is seeking an experienced Remunerations Services Manager to lead the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant payroll services for a workforce of 30,000+ employees across multiple health services and enterprise agreements. Reporting to the Director, Payroll Services, this role provides operational leadership, drives continuous improvement, and ensures a high-quality employee experience across payroll services.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day payroll operations to ensure accurate and on-time pay runs across complex industrial environments

  • Drive continuous improvement, governance and quality assurance across payroll processes

  • Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary payroll leadership team to build capability and service excellence

  • Partner with Payroll Systems, Compliance, People & Culture and Finance to align payroll operations with organisational priorities

  • Manage complex payroll matters, award interpretation and stakeholder escalations

About you

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in payroll, HR, finance, business or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Essential

  • Significant experience leading large, complex payroll operations in a highly regulated environment

  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience building and leading high-performing teams

  • Strong working knowledge of industrial instruments, legislation and payroll compliance requirements

Desirable

  • Experience with SAP HR/Payroll and/or workforce rostering systems

  • Advanced data and reporting capability to drive insights and operational improvement

  • Experience working within large, complex organisations (healthcare desirable)
