Grade 2 Registered Nurse

Haematology & Bone Marrow Transplant Unit

About the Unit

The Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit is a 32‑bed specialised service providing complex, high‑acuity care to patients with:

  • Acute leukaemia
  • Non‑malignant haematological conditions
  • Allogeneic bone marrow transplants
  • Patients within the VCCC Alliance

About the Role

As a Grade 2 Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive, holistic nursing care and work in partnership with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes. Reporting to the ANUM and NUM, you will demonstrate accountability for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, while actively contributing to quality, safety and service improvement.

About You

  • Demonstrates strong clinical reasoning, communication and prioritisation skills
  • Practices within scope and seeks support when required
  • Is committed to professional development and reflective practice
  • Consistently role‑models RMH values and safe work practices

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience in haematology and/or bone marrow transplant nursing
  • Postgraduate qualification in cancer or haematology nursing
