An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic nurse wishing to expand their clinical nursing experience, utilising evidence based nursing care to care for members of our community. We are seeking Registered Nurses who can work in a dynamic ward with the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.
You will become a valued member of a world class team of nurses. The skills and experience gained working within pathology collections are essential in providing care for any patients here at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Your Opportunity:

Recognise the Registered Nurse responsibilities for delegation of nursing care
-
Provide high quality standards of patient care. This includes the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care.

Use evidence-based practice to perform specimen collection procedures.

Participate in continuing education sessions, committees, special projects and relevant professional groups.
About You:
-
Current registration with no condition under AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
-
A minimum of four years current acute clinical experience.
-
Able to perform venepuncture and insert peripheral cannula as requested.,
-
Demonstrates the ability to clinically lead the department, adaptability to change and able to provide high quality care to patients and their families.

Excellent communication skills & clinical knowledge.
-
Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
Desirable:
- Post graduate degree of a clinical specialty.
