About the role

We have an opportunity for a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team on 2 West, one of our specialised acute surgical wards.

 

The ward provides care for patients undergoing Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, offering a diverse and rewarding clinical environment.

 

You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within a diverse and complex clinical environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, a commitment to continuous learning, and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care. This is a supportive ward environment that values development, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • The management of elective surgical patients under the specialities of Reconstructive Plastic, Head and Neck, and OMFS
  • Provide comprehensive and holistic nursing care to surgical patients.
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality person-centred care.

About You

 

  • A well-developed range of clinical skills in Plastics or Head and Neck and OMFS surgical nursing or acute setting, with a willingness to learn.
  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Adaptable and confident, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • A high level of reliability and professional conduct.
  • Motivated and willing to adapt and learn in a changing environment.
