  •     Support the coordination of recruitment and onboarding activities across clinical and non-clinical roles 
  •     Full Time, Ongoing position with monthly accrued day off, salary packaging & 5 weeks annual leave

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.  

The Recruitment Onboarding and Compliance Officer team works in partnership with the HR Advisors, Employee Services as well as our Immigration team. The purpose of this role is to undertake all operational functions related to the management of the pre-employment life cycle of a new employee at The Royal Melbourne Hospital working within set timeframes. Working within our People & Culture department, you will be the first point of contact for providing support in recruitment, employee relations, and HR processes in a dynamic healthcare environment.

About the role 

  •     Review employment and compliance documentation for accuracy and completeness to ensure internal policies and external regulatory requirements are being adhered to 
  •     Provide advice and assistance to all managers and new employees during the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition 
  •     Prepare, issue and manage accurate employment contracts, offer letters and all unpaid appointments 
  •     Manage and respond to inquiries in a high-volume shared recruitment inbox and phone line promptly and efficiently in a timely manner 
  •     Be able to maintain strict confidentiality and uphold data protection principles in all workforce-related processes 

About you  

  •     You have unrestricted Work Rights: Eligible for an ongoing role in Australia. 
  •     You thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess exceptional attention to detail, and be confident working independently while collaborating with internal teams and external agencies. 
  •     You have a proven ability to handle all confidential information with discretion and integrity. 
  •     You are a good problem solver in an heavy admin based environment and enjoy managing timelines and finding solutions to challenges.  
  •     Familiarity with Fair Work standards and enterprise agreement interpretation is an advantage (training provided). Experience with SuccessFactors/SAP is a bonus but not required.
