About The Royal Melbourne Hospital
The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.
RMH is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our Health Intelligence team. Reporting to the Solutions Architect - Reporting Team Lead, you will enhance our data-driven decision-making capabilities and support analytical excellence throughout RMH. You'll manage data lifecycle processes and provide strategic analytics that support critical decisions for patient care.

About the role:
- Migrate and expand our existing reporting suite from Qlik to Power BI across the organization
- Develop comprehensive reporting solutions and build key performance metrics for stakeholders
- Create effective data visualizations that drive operational improvements and support strategic decision-making
- Provide education, support and clear navigation guidance to end users for reporting platforms
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business rules while ensuring compliance with data governance policies
About you
Qualification
- A tertiary qualification in computer science, Information Technology or relevant field
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Power BI development with demonstrated experience building reports
- Experience with SQL Server as a data source and ability to write SQL queries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot data quality issues
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, ask questions, and follow through tasks to completion
Desirable
- Experience with Qlik and other Microsoft BI stack tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)
- Prior work at a healthcare organisation or with healthcare data
- Experience in data modelling and data warehousing methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and deliver projects within designated timeframes
