  • Full Time Ongoing position - 80 hours per fortnight incl monthly Accrued Day Off
  • Monday to Friday roster
  • Parkville location, close to public transport

About the Role

The Planned Surgery Booking Office is responsible for managing the majority of elective admissions to The Royal Melbourne Hospital and ensuring the administration and integrity of the Planned Surgery Waiting List.

We are seeking a compassionate individual with strong organisational and data management skills to join our team. The Planned Surgery Booking Clerk works alongside the Surgical Liaison Team to manage the surgical waitlist. The team is responsible for data management, daily bookings, and responding to external patient enquiries.

Previous experience in healthcare services is desirable but not essential. If you have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team environment, we would love to meet you.

About You

You are calm, friendly and patient-focused, with excellent communication and organisational skills. You enjoy being part of a collaborative team and take pride in delivering high-quality customer service.

  • You are a strong communicator who engages respectfully with all stakeholders.
  • Previous healthcare experience is desirable but not essential. If you have strong people skills and enjoy working in a team, we encourage you to apply.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and can maintain accurate databases.
  • You are reliable and thrive in a team environment.
  • You promote and maintain a safe and inclusive workplace.
