Grade 3 Physiotherapist – Virtual Fracture Clinic Coordinator

  • Ongoing position (32 hours per fortnight) based at RMH Parkville

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Victoria's leading public health services, renowned for excellence, innovation and compassionate care. We are currently seeking an experienced Grade 3 Physiotherapist to join our Orthopaedic Surgery team.

The senior clinician role is responsible for clinical expertise in the area of general and spine fracture care. You will work alongside the orthopaedic surgeons, junior medical staff and Virtual Fracture Clinic coordinators in providing clinical care to patients with fractures and acute musculoskeletal injuries. The role requires excellent communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services, information and leadership. You will also actively lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives and research 

About you

  • Current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • Minimum of seven years' clinical and leadership experience
  • Demonstrated high level of clinical competence and expertise in orthopaedics
  • Proven leadership skills with experience supervising staff and students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Demonstrated skills in research, innovation and programme development and evaluation
  • Commitment to The Melbourne Way – people first, leading with kindness, excellence together

Desirable

  • Masters degree or post graduate masters degree in a relevant field (or working towards)
  • Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
