Perioperative Registered Nurse – Main Theatre

- Rotating roster including weekends, overnight and on-call shifts
The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (Grade 2) to join our Main Theatre team within Perioperative Services.
As one of Melbourne’s busiest tertiary trauma centres, our Perioperative Services team delivers care across a wide range of complex surgical procedures and specialties.
The Perioperative Services Department includes 16 theatres, 25 recovery bays, 3 off-floor anaesthetic areas, 3 West Day Procedure Unit, 3 East/23-hour Unit, and Central Sterilising Services (CSSD).
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your clinical expertise to one of Victoria’s busiest operating suites, supporting safe, high-quality, patient-centred surgical care.
About the Role
- Deliver excellence as Scrub/Scout Nurse

About You
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2 years acute post-registration experience (12 months essential)
- Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing
- Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal abilities
