The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Victoria's leading public health services, renowned for excellence, innovation and compassionate care. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Onboarding Advisor to join our People Services team within People, Culture & Communications.

This role sits at the heart of the new employee experience, responsible for managing the end-to-end pre-employment lifecycle for all new starters and unpaid appointments across the organisation. Working in partnership with HR Advisors, Employee Services and our Immigration team, you will coordinate onboarding activities, manage compliance checks, prepare employment contracts and ensure all processes align with healthcare regulations, workforce standards and organisational requirements. You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and take pride in delivering a smooth, professional and welcoming experience for every new employee joining RMH.

About you

  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with recruitment and compliance systems including Vevo, Fit2Work, AHPRA, NDIS and WWCC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS SuccessFactors
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approach
  • Valid Working with Children Check (employee check)
  • Commitment to The Melbourne Way – people first, leading with kindness, excellence together

Desirable

  • Prior experience in recruitment, HR, compliance coordination or contracts administration, preferably in healthcare
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements surrounding employment screening and onboarding
  • Experience supporting graduate programs or large-scale recruitment campaigns
