Consumer Peer Support Worker (Level 3)

About the role
- 4 days per week with a rotating roster including weekends. Capacity to work weekends is a must.
- Support consumers of our Safe Haven, Saturday Group, community teams and inpatient programs who are experiencing psychological distress.
- Provide person centred, non-clinical peer support that honours each person’s story, strengths and self-determination. Practice from a strengths-based foundation, supporting self-determination and centring choice, safety and connection.
- Utilise the principles and values of the Intentional Peer Support model
- Connect consumers with community supports, programs and Safe Haven.
About the team
RMH Mental Health Services is at the forefront of innovative mental health and addiction treatment. We are dedicated to a culturally safe, trauma-informed practice within mental health services. The team include both clinical and lived and living experience staff with a focus on inclusivity of consumers and their individual support needs.
About you
- You bring experience from a similar lived experience or peer support role.
- You are passionate about supporting others through shared understanding and mutuality.
- You are confident in uplifting your peers while honouring diverse experiences and voices.
