Payroll Officer

THe Royal Melbourne Hospital Financial Shared Services (MHFSS) provide a range of Payroll services for The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and Western Health (WH). MHFSS are also the outsource provider for The Royal Children’s Hospital and The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. Currently MHFSS process the payroll for over 25,000 employees working 24/7 rosters, spread over 26 complex Enterprise Agreements, across 2 alternating fortnightly pay cycles.

 

Your new role:

  • Accurate, timely and efficient payroll services for existing financial shared services customers and outsourced customers
  • Contributing and demonstrating support for process improvement strategies
  • Processing timesheets and RosterOn in accordance with awards, EBA's and payroll procedures
  • Resolving difficult enquiries and assisting in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required to ensure employee payments are processed accurately and database integrity is maintained

 

About you:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll
  • Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working within a large team environment with shared services responsibilities
  • Intermediate computer skills and competency with Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience in the public health sector is desirable
