Community Program Manager – Mental Health

  • Full-time, fixed term until 06/11/2026 (Long Service Leave Cover)

About RMH Mental Health Services

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services (RMH MHS) provides recovery-oriented, evidence-based care for people experiencing serious mental illness across community and hospital settings. Our multidisciplinary teams work in partnership with consumers, carers and families to deliver holistic, person-centred care, with a strong focus on collaboration, learning and service improvement.

About the Role

This senior clinical leadership role is responsible for the operational, clinical and financial leadership of a community mental health program within RMH MHS.

You will ensure high-quality, recovery-oriented care is delivered to consumers and carers, while also supporting bed management coordination with Northern Health as Program Liaison Coordinator.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading safe, high-quality, recovery-oriented service delivery
  • Coordinating bed management processes with Northern Health
  • Providing supervision and support to team leaders and clinicians
  • Contributing to service planning, development and improvement
  • Participating in clinical leadership and strategic decision-making
  • Participating in clinical leadership and strategic decision-making

You are a confident mental health leader who can:

  • Lead across multiple teams in a complex service environment
  • Manage competing priorities and operational demands
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong clinical governance and leadership capability
  • Promote recovery-oriented, consumer-centred practice
