At RMH, all new graduate Social Workers participate in our innovative Transdisciplinary Preceptorship Program.

This unique program brings together new graduates from Social Work, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and other allied health professions to learn, reflect and grow together.

Through facilitated group learning, peer support, case discussions and guided professional reflection, the program helps graduates to:

• Build confidence in clinical decision-making
• Develop skills for effective multidisciplinary teamwork
• Enhance communication, advocacy and leadership capabilities
• Strengthen resilience and wellbeing during the transition to professional practice
• Gain a broader understanding of person-centred healthcare delivery across disciplines

The program complements profession-specific supervision and mentoring, creating a rich and supportive environment for both clinical and professional development.

About You

• A recent or soon-to-be graduate of an accredited Social Work degree with less than 6 months' professional experience
• Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

• Curious, adaptable and committed to continuous learning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic about working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
