Neurology Outpatient Clinic Administration

The Department of Neurology is one of Australia's busiest clinical units. It offers a full range of inpatient, ambulatory care and outpatient services and a busy clinical trials and research unit. In addition to the comprehensive stroke centre, there is dedicated video-EEG monitoring unit, specialist service for patients with multiple sclerosis and other inflammatory conditions, including a day procedure unit with infusion services, movement disorders including deep brain stimulation, neuromuscular conditions including neurophysiology, and neuro-ophthalmology.
Your new role:
- Start the day with a smile to greet all Neurology patients attending clinics
- Attending to patient bookings, answer all incoming calls, tending to all patient queries
- Liaise daily with consultants, fellows, junior doctors and nurses to ensure the smooth running of the Neurology department outpatients clinics
- conduct a wide variety of reception and administrative duties
About you:
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience and knowledge of medical reception
- A patient focussed approach to service provision
- Ability to work well in a team environment, in addition to working autonomously
- Maintain absolute confidentiality with patient and departmental matters
