Mental Health Nurse – Entry to Practice Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Registered Mental Health Nurse to support, nurture and develop Registered Nurses as they commence their Graduate and Post Graduate Entry to Practice career across the acute mental health space.

You will lead recruitment and onboarding activities, coordinate clinical education programs, and provide hands-on support for the graduate mental health and post graduate mental health nurse participants across diverse settings. About the role:

  • Facilitate structured education programs for Registered Nurses that are engaged in the graduate mental health program
  • Provide support and mentoring to graduate and post graduate mental health nurses across the service
  • Coordinate academic and professional development components across RMH MHS
  • Partner with clinical leaders and advisory groups to deliver high-quality nursing education
  • Champion person-centred, recovery-oriented care supported by the ‘Melbourne Way’

About you:

  • Registration as a registered nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law
  • Act (2009) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or, Bachelor Degree in Nursing plus a Postgraduate/ Masters qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
  • Clinical experience in a range of mental health settings at a senior nursing
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for workforce development
