The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is one of Victoria’s leading public health services, providing care across acute, subacute and community settings. Our Mental Health Services support consumers, families and carers through inpatient, community, residential and specialist programs — available 24/7.
Join our Inner Melbourne Community Mental Health Team, supporting consumers across Carlton, North Melbourne and the CBD. We deliver an innovative Open Dialogue Model of Care as part of a research partnership with the Victorian Collaborative Centre of Mental Health and Wellbeing. Our team combines clinical expertise, peer support and strong family involvement.
This role is part of new growth funding to expand the Inner Melbourne Community Team, successfully launched earlier in 2025. We are seeking a Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3.
Your new role:
Core duties the candidate would be required to perform
- Co-facilitate Open Dialogue network meetings with consumers and their supports to collaboratively develop treatment plans
- Provide crisis responses as well as ongoing care and support for consumers with complex mental health needs and their networks
- Work collaboratively with external service providers, including academic partners leading the pilot evaluation
About you:
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse with postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability
- Ability to work flexibly and tolerate uncertainty
- Willingness to share your emotional experience within Open Dialogue meetings through reflective practice
