About Us:

The Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s first dedicated public mental health service for young people aged 12 to 25, created in response to the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System. Officially launching under independent governance in July 2025, PYMHWS is a transformational service delivering tailored, evidence-informed care for young people with complex mental illness across Melbourne’s north and west.

The Opportunity:

Be part of Victorias new public youth mental health service. We're seeking a highly organised, detail-focused Medical Workforce Unit Advisor.

 

What you'll be doing:

As an Advisor, you’ll play a vital role within our Medical Workforce Unit, supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of our senior medical workforce and ensuring credentialing and compliance of Allied Health, Psychology and Nursing staff.

You’ll be responsible for the operational delivery of recruitment, onboarding, rostering and stakeholder support for the Senior Medical Workforce as well as the ongoing credentialling and governance of our Allied Health, Psychology and Nursing workforce. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities will contribute directly to the success of our clinical workforce.

You will:

  • Coordinate senior medical staff recruitment, onboarding and contract preparation
  • Support credentialing and compliance across Allied Health, Psychology and Nursing
  • Act as a key contact for all senior medical workforce enquiries and related stakeholders
  • Assist with rostering and allocations using RosterOn and manage planned/unplanned vacancies
  • Contribute to orientation and accreditation activities in collaboration with senior leaders
  • Maintain accurate workforce data and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner

 

 

About You:

Essential

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Proficient IT skills and adaptability to new systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and build effective stakeholder relationships
  • Understanding of complex rostering principles

 

Desirable

  • Experience with RosterOn, Success Factors, and HR master data
  • Knowledge of Victorian public health industrial agreements
  • Experience in the health sector or a large, complex organisation
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related field
