About the role
Multiple opportunities are available, with a 12-month fixed-term and ongoing positions across part-time and full-time hours.
Join Medical Imaging Services at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and play an important role in supporting patients throughout their care journey.
As a Medical Imaging Administration Officer, you will provide welcoming, professional customer service while managing patient bookings, registration and reception activities. You’ll provide clear appointment and preparation information, respond to patient enquiries and concerns, and work closely with Administration Team Leaders and clinical teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide professional and welcoming customer service to patients and visitors.
- Manage patient bookings, registration and reception activities accurately and efficiently.
- Provide clear and appropriate information to patients about appointments and preparation requirements.
- Respond to patient enquiries and concerns, escalating issues to the Team Leader when required.
- Complete general administration and daily operational tasks across Medical Imaging.
- Work collaboratively with the Medical Imaging team to support safe, efficient and patient-centred services.
About You
You are a customer focused administration professional who brings:
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including a professional telephone manner
- Proven clerical and administrative experience with strong attention to detail
- Accurate keyboard and computer skills
- Previous experience within a healthcare environment would be advantageous
