Bone Marrow Transplant Laboratory Technician
The Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Experienced Lab Technician required for range of laboratory and support tasks
  • Join the largest Haematology Service in the country
  • Full Time, 12 months Fixed Term

The Clinical Haematology service is a unified department formed between Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Royal Melbourne Hospital and is the largest haematology service in the country.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Clinical Haematology team.  This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.  The Clinical Haematology service is looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our Bone Marrow Transplant Service (BMT).

Your new role:

  • Duties include a wide range of laboratory and support tasks
  • Manual analysis of both clinical and research specimens
  • Liaison for the delivery of specimens (internal and external)
  • Maintain databases of samples processed

About you
•    Excellent record keeping and computer skills
•    Ability to prioritise workload
•    Experience with perfroming routine auditing
•    Experience in Tertiary hospital or research laboratory
