The Health Information Services Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of medical records, supporting the hospital’s dedication to delivering exceptional healthcare through accurate patient information management.
Role Overview:
- Responsible for the training of clerks in Health Information Services (HIS) in the digitization of medical record content using the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system including preparation, scanning and quality assurance
- Responsible for the training of clerks in HIS in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to conduct tasks including chart corrections, release of information, deficiency tracking and patient portal etc.
- Monitor processes and throughput and provide feedback and recommendations
- Organise and initiate training plan with ECM Operations Manager to train all staff in prepping, scanning, QA and EMR tasks
- Develop training documentation and maintain ECM and EMR staff manuals
- Action Document Correction errors in ECM and EMR
- Make recommendations on system and process improvements
- Conduct productivity/KPI audits
- Assist with prioritisation of scanning and answering queries relating to scanning/ECM
