Health Information Manager

The Health Information Manager will play a leading role in supporting the operational performance and information management needs of Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services. Reporting to the manager of the Information and Performance – Mental Health Services team, the role will assist in overseeing the appropriate collection, use and release of mental health information. This is a people-oriented position embedded within the service, working directly alongside clinical and administrative staff.
Your new role:
- Participate in a range of exciting projects and initiatives as the Mental Health system continues its transformation
- Play a pivotal role in supporting the service’s success with the Activity Based Funding model
- Apply expertise in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and other medicolegal requirements
- Be well supported by a range of experts who will guide your learning and development
About you:
- You form strong working relationships and enjoy engaging directly with clinical, administrative and support staff in a largely face-to-face capacity
- You are interested in applying your high level of attention to detail, problem solving and process-oriented thinking in an interesting and growing setting
- You are capable of building the capacity of those around you while achieving a high level of performance yourself
- You have experience working in a health setting and are eligible for membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia
