The Nurse Resource Team Health Assistant in Nursing (HAN) and the Enrolled Nurses (EN) play an integral role within the team by providing person-centred, quality care to our patients. Your new role: 

  • The HAN and EN are required to work under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and/or a Registered Nurse (RN) delegate.
  • The HAN and EN work within their level of education, assessed competencies and under clearly defined role parameters.
  • The HAN and EN provide direct care and assistance to patients and families as well as supporting the nursing teams.
  • The Nurse Resource Team work within the Nursing Workforce Unit with allocations to clinical areas including acute and sub-acute wards. 
  • Work a 7-day rotating roster including AM/PM/ND and weekend shifts. Part time and Full-time opportunities available. 

How to be successful in the Health Assistant role: 

  • At least 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Passionate, enthusiastic, and willing to expand your skills
  • Commit to the Melbourne Way by putting people first, leading with kindness, and achieving excellence together. 

How to be successful in the Enrolled Nurse role: 

  • Diploma of Nursing
  • AHPRA registered
  • At least 6 months of acute experience or 12 months of subacute/ aged care experience. / Desirable: Acute/hospital experience
  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation.
