The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) provides a comprehensive range of specialty services including medical, surgical, mental health, rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient, and community programs, hosted on multiple sites. The Nurse Resource Team Health Assistant in Nursing (HAN) and the Enrolled Nurses (EN) play an integral role within the team by providing person-centred, quality care to our patients. Our committed team are inviting you to join us to build your career at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Your new role: 

• The HAN and EN are required to work under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and/or a Registered Nurse (RN) delegate.
• The HAN and EN work within their level of education, assessed competencies and under clearly defined role parameters.
• The HAN and EN provide direct care and assistance to patients and families as well as supporting the nursing teams.
• The Nurse Resource Team work within the Nursing Workforce Unit with allocations to clinical areas including acute and sub-acute wards. 
• Work a 7-day rotating roster including AM/PM/ND and weekend shifts. Part time and Full-time opportunities available. 

How to be successful in the Health Assistant role: 

• At least 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Passionate, enthusiastic, and willing to expand your skills
• Commit to the Melbourne Way by putting people first, leading with kindness, and achieving excellence together. 

How to be successful in the Enrolled Nurse role: 

• Diploma of Nursing
• AHPRA registered
• At least 6 months of acute experience or 12 months of subacute/ aged care experience. / Desirable: Acute/hospital experience
  
• Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation.
