The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Victoria’s leading public health services, delivering a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health care.
The RMH Foundation is entering an exciting phase of growth, with a strong focus on expanding the impact of fundraising and philanthropy.
We are seeking a strategic Associate Director, Communications & Marketing to lead an integrated program that drives reputation, engagement, and donor outcomes.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead internal and external communications, strengthen brand positioning, and grow donor engagement across RMH. You will also support the Events Manager and oversee key campaigns and engagement initiatives.
Your new role:
- the development and execution of integrated communications and marketing strategies across multiple channels
- Drive brand, reputation, and donor engagement aligned to philanthropic priorities
- Deliver high-impact fundraising campaigns, including seasonal appeals and Home Lottery initiatives
- Oversee content creation across digital, print, and media platforms
- Manage key stakeholder and agency relationships to deliver strategic outcomes
- Lead engagement initiatives and events while contributing to organisation-wide fundraising strategy
About you:
You are a strategic and creative communications leader with experience working in complex environments and engaging diverse stakeholders.
You bring:
- Proven experience in senior communications and marketing leadership roles
- Strong track record delivering integrated, multi-channel strategies
- Experience leading teams and building capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results
Desirable:
- Experience in fundraising, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors
