About the role

Join The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s Podiatry team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care for patients with complex wound and high-risk foot conditions. We are seeking two Podiatrists to work across acute, sub-acute and community health settings, managing a diverse caseload while further developing their expertise in high-risk foot care.

This role provides an opportunity to work within a leading Podiatry and Diabetic Foot service, where you will be supported to enhance your clinical skills, contribute to innovative models of care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide patient-centred podiatry assessment and treatment across acute, sub-acute and community health settings, with a focus on high-risk foot care, wound management and prevention of lower limb complications.
• Manage a diverse clinical caseload while developing your skills through structured supervision, clinical support and professional development opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Unit and wider healthcare teams to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care.
• Support patient education, care planning and engagement with patients, carers and healthcare professionals to achieve positive health outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance podiatry services.

About You

• Hold a recognised Podiatry qualification and full registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
• Possess experience and interest in wound management
• Can work as part of a team and enjoy a culture of feedback and working with others
• Have effective interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
• Flexibility to work across acute, sub-acute and community health sites
