Your new role:

The Grade 3 position is a senior appointment within the Radiology Department.   A Grade 3 Radiographer within the CT Department is required to assist with the daily operation of CT Services. In addition, is required to;

  • Comply with Quality Management policies and procedures, and participate in Quality Management activities within Radiology.
  • Support and participate in the Health Service OH&S Procedures and implement (where appropriate) at unit/service area level.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by reporting any incidents of unsafe work practices, sites/areas or equipment.
  • Be responsible for observing and practicing the principles and obligations of Equal Employment Opportunity, which include:

  • Comply with Health Service and Divisional specific Regulations, Melbourne Health Policy and Procedures (available on MH intranet site http://info.mh.org.au).
  • Undertake routine and specialised CT examinations within the RMH Radiology Departments and Private Radiology Suite.
  • Take responsibility for the development of a portfolio as determined by the CT Supervisors.
  • Actively assist with the daily operation of CT imaging services.
  • Ensure service delivery, clinical teaching and quality improvement.
  • Participate in the 24 hour, 7 days per week shift and “on-call/recall” roster.


About you:

  • Current AHPRA registration through MPRBA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner 
  • Current Radiation Use License (Victorian Department of Health) 
  • You are a great communicator and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues.
  • You undertake your role with exceptional patient care.
  • Postgraduate qualification or further education in clinical education, leadership and management or specialist imaging modality (desirable)
