Occupational Therapist - Grade 2

RMH part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.
The Occupational Therapy team at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is committed to providing outstanding patient care. This role will provide clinical assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for patients admitted to these wards. The role is supported by a grade 4 clinical leader, peer senior clinicians, OT research leads, and the OT manager.
Your new role:
- Provide excellent, evidence based and patient centred care including assessment, intervention and discharge planning
- Supervise and educate junior occupational therapists, allied health assistants and occupational therapy students
- Demonstrate excellent communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services, information and leadership
- Actively lead and participate in Allied Health quality improvement initiatives and research
About you:
- You have hospital experience with a collaborative working style
- You have excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development for yourself and others.
- You are an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist dedicated to providing evidence based practice
- You value working with supportive and dedicated Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
