Job Description: 

Prosthetist/Orthotist Grade 1 – New Graduate

  • Part time ongoing role
  • Based at the Royal Park Campus, but may require working on-site at RMH City, Western Hospital Footscray or Sunshine Hospital

Your new role:

  • A new graduate Grade 1 Prosthetist/Orthotist to work as part of an established Prosthetics & Orthotics team, in a major amputee rehabilitation service
  • Provide safe, evidence based and patient centred care including assessment, intervention and discharge planning for RMH patients
  • Demonstrate effective communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services and information.
  • Learn and develop your professional skills in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Enjoy a career structure which develops specialist clinical, research, education, and leadership skills for Allied Health.

About You

  • An AOPA and NDIS registered Prosthetist/Orthotist dedicated to providing evidence-based practice
  • Have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics
  • Value working in a supportive and dedicated team with strong evidence-based practice and patient centred approach
  • Demonstrate sound clinical decision making and an ability to navigate public health and funding structures.
