- Rotational Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Position.
- Provide physiotherapy service, clinical supervision and education of students and junior Physiotherapists.
The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Physiotherapy service is made up of over 130 staff providing services across the City and Royal Park Campuses. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and friendly team.
This position will provide the successful applicant opportunities to gain experience working in a well-supported multidisciplinary team environment with a wide variety of Cardiorespiratory clients. Rotations include Intensive Care, Trauma, Cardiothoracics, General Surgery, General Medicine and Special Medicine. The role involves the provision of a 7 day Physiotherapy service, supervision and education of student and junior Physiotherapists, and you will be well supported by Grade 3 and 4 Clinicians. You will be expected to contribute to the weekend service and research and quality portfolios within the team.
Your new role:
- Competently and independently assess, treat and manage cardiorespiratory patients in the acute health setting.
- Work across a variety of wards/caseloads.
- Prioritise clinical load based on daily demand.
- Be flexible to meet the clinical and workforce needs of the Physiotherapy department.
About you:
- You are an experienced Physiotherapist with broad cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy skills.
- You have a strong ability to develop relationships with relevant team members from allied health, nursing and medical teams.
- You have well developed communication, time management and organisational skills.
- You have experience with supervision of staff and students.
